How Long it Takes to Read Each Book of the Bible Aloud

A 2019 study revealed that the average user spends about an hour on Facebook and an hour on Instagram every day. That amounts to about 7 hours a week on Facebook and 7 hours a week on Instagram. Although that may not be true of you, doesn't it force you to think about the way [...]

About Justin

The most important thing about me is that I'm but one among an innumerable multitude of undeserving sinners who have been loved with an everlasting love and chosen by sovereign grace. By the sheer mercy and kindness of God, my blind eyes have been opened to see a glimpse of His beauty and glory in the face of Jesus Christ, my Savior, who loved me and gave Himself for me. As far as my "testimony" is concerned, if you read the first ten verses of Ephesians chapter two you'll know my story. I live and labor in my beautiful hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico as a bi-vocational pastor of the church we had the joy of planting in 2012, Grace Community Church. I'm married to an amazing woman and we've been blessed with five precious arrows.

The name Rejoice with Trembling is taken from Psalm 2:11, where the reader is commanded to serve the LORD with fear and to rejoice with trembling. Although joy and fear, and rejoicing and trembling, seem like complete opposites, the reality of walking joyfully in the fear of God is the glorious experience into which the gospel ushers every repentant, believing sinner.

As the one Mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ brings His people into fellowship with the God in whose presence is fullness of joy (Psa. 16:11), while also instilling the fear of God in their hearts so that they never forsake Him as the all-satisfying fountain of living water (Jer. 32:40).

Because of the new birth, the command to serve the LORD with fear and to rejoice with trembling is not only our duty, it's now our delight. My hope is that the articles, thoughts, meditations, and musings that are published on this site serve to bring eternal glory to God, eternal joy to His people, and eternal salvation to those who have yet to believe.
